After a long drive through all sorts of weather, from snow to torrential rain to thick fog, we eventually reached home under the first hint of blue sky. There was deep snow lying everywhere but the temperature was unseasonly high and underlined the high risk of avalanches forecast by Swiss Meteo. Despite this it was so good to be back home in the Engadine.
