Scottish Life

Great day for a walk in the hills

Sunny, great views, freezing cold (so no muddy bike quagmires to contend with) - and no wind!  All in all, a fantastic day for getting out in the hills.  This is my favourite Glen Sax - so typical of the rolling hills in the Scottish Borders.

This is the drovers' road - a wide track along the ridge line between stone walls.  It was used to drive animals over the hills to market down in England.
