It's all in the detail

Went down to visit my mother, brother and his family this weekend, taking my camera out to the park to try to get some pics of the lovely colours in the trees at the moment.

Only a few shots of the foliage as I was quickly distracted by the ducks, geese, swans and warships in the local pond. Obviously the intricate model warship won that battle, and here's the result.

Apparently it took the driver / helmsman / pilot (?) over a year to build, which drove his wife nuts. He can now be found at the boating lake most weekends, making the most of his investment. Either that, or getting out of shot of his angry wife!
