A park that never was

These things were set up around 20 years ago near Eloy, Arizona. A developer had grand ideas of a major amusement park between Phoenix and Tucson, but it never took off. Now it's just got some tires, dug-out ground, trees and several of these things. The gondolas are from a Ferris wheel-type ride that was at Magic Mountain in the 1970s (pre-Six Flags days). The developer stuck them on poles for some reason. You can see them from Interstate 10.

Jill and I stopped to see and photograph them on our way to Tucson to visit my family. She met my grandpa, aunt, brother, and my uncle and his wife. The visit went well
