Pebble Beach

We abandoned a short gorge walk this morning given the car park was covered in thick ice and the walk talked about steep drops and narrow paths (we didn't like 'slippery' being added to the outing. Instead, we headed to Ullapool and found a buzzard catching its breakfast, and then just beyond, we found this delightful beach full of beautiful flat and shiny pebbles, many with some kind of pretty quartz layer running through. We timed it just between showers so the stones looked beautiful wet but we stayed dry.

This afternoon, we've whiled away time by the window on the loch - the place to be. Spotted a seal, very probably two golden eagles (powerful flap, flap, flap, glide) and watched the rain drift by.

After watching the enormous moon come over the mountainside, lightly shrouded by a wispy cloud, an evening of Better Call Saul rounded off the day nicely.
