Round Trip

I (Chris) took Immy back to university in York today. It's a round trip of 372 miles but a nice day and relatively quiet on the M1, M18 and A1/A1(M). We arrived around 2pm and having unloaded, had a food shopping trip to Asda to fill Immy's fridge and freezer shelves for at least the first few days. Immy's got exams this week so apart from catching up with her flatmates, it was back to revision.

On my route back (and having spotted it on the way there), I took a mild diversion to get a photo or two at Ferrybridge power station as the sun was setting. It's largely closed now but for a multi-fuel unit but the chimneys still make quite a sight (one in the extras too). Then it was back to the motorway.

A slightly different route home as I missed the turn for the M18 whilst talking to Annie on the phone (hands free) but it just meant a longer drive on the A1/A1(M) which was actually free flowing. Home by 7pm :)
