The dropped stitch

By Bodkin

a good Sunday

When the day starts with a beautiful sky it fairly lifts the spirits.

Gardening session with J. Weather bright, but cold. For the first half hour my fingers were so cold I thought I'd have to pack it in. Doubling up the gloves helped and after an hour we were almost too warm!

Raked up seaweed which had been thrown up in last month's storm onto the wild flower meadow. Barrow loads have been returned to the beach and today it was just a case of finishing off the job. A pause for lunch of home-made ruby red soup, and delicious Christmas cake. Then we planted a few bulbs and enjoyed some pond weed clearing until the light was going and energy fading.
Tonight dancing. The brains were perhaps a little slow after the festive break, but we will soon be back to speed and working our way through I's list of 'difficult' dances and C's Strathspey suggestions.
