Baby, It's The Guitar Man

Dalmeny Kirk, a beautiful little church, the oldest Norman church in Scotland, 880 years old. Martin Taylor, possibly the world's greatest solo jazz guitarist. Wow.

The evening was opened by the minister of the Kirk, David Cameron (a twinkly eyed hottie of a McVicar - is it okay to say that?) ... he handed over to local sleb Phil Cunningham to introduce MT. We had about an hour and a half of a fantastic virtuoso performance with snippets of chat.

At the end, Lord Rosebery stood to thank him, he said he didn't want to thank him as he didn't want the evening to end. He said that his father, grandfather and great grandfather had overseen many special occasions in this little chapel but that this had to be the finest. He was so effusive that there could be no doubt that he meant every word.

So, anyway, I've been a little sloppy with these blips lately and have a load to back-blip over the next day or so.
