Today was household chores. The decorations were put back in their boxes and several weeks of laundry were ironed and put back into drawers and wardrobes.

My better half was given a galette des rois kit by her sister when they visited before New Year. Normally she makes her own from scratch, this one came with the advantage of a disc of round pastry, so there were no offcuts. Today's blip is la fève, which she found and didn't accidentally bite into or choke on. The kit was sold with one of a series of landmarks, this one is La Liberté éclairant le monde the famous French designed and built statue given to the people of the United States as a gift and famous for welcoming people into New York's harbour.
