Happy Birthday Russell!

We drove down to Brighton for our friend Russell‘s 50th, it was an amazing party and so good to see lots of friends again, James, Aysha, Amanda, Sara, Tony, Tim, Brett, Lee, Martin and Lisa... Russell is 1/2 of production duo the Freemasons and over the years we have released several records and travelled the world together including Russia and Australia.

It is going to be Gulliver’s birthday on Tuesday and we decided to allow him to have a few friends over to stay while we were away with Zebedee to oversee and be on hand if needs be, we make sure everything was organised and ready for them and set off for Haywards Heath where we visited granny Gill and Grandad Rob for lunch, Gill had left the tree up and some of the decorations so that we could see them, she always makes a huge effort and is very artistic and they always look lovely. Also managed to get a glimpse of the cat for a change he was asleep on a chair.

Russell had booked us a lovely room at the harbour hotel with a Seaview, it really is a very nice place to stay with a fantastic spa downstairs which we didn’t have a chance to check out this time.

We went for a lovely walk on the sea front, it’s always such a great feeling to be by the sea and having lived down here for 10 years brings back lots of good memories.

We got ready for the party and met up with Russell and friends in the bar at seven went up to the club for sound check, then we went off for something to eat and found a very nice vegetarian restaurant and sat with a couple of Russell‘s friends, Dino and his French wife (I can’t remember her name).

After the party will you met up with old friends Sara who is to be in a band with Max in the 80s and lots of other friends, Amanda Wilson and Sang and then I sang and it was all great fun and we danced the night away till about 1 AM.

All photos for Max Ellis except the ones at grandparents
