Winter at Birnie Loch

It was lovely and crisp for our walk round Birnie Loch today - most of the loch was frozen over with the swans confined to one corner where the ice was missing. 

The gulls seemed happy just resting on the ice but there was a lot of activity from the smaller birds ( finches,tits and blackbirds) as we walked round the path.
