Work party day

It was a cold but very atmospheric day at the nature reserve for one of my mini work parties - half-day sessions with the incentive of cake and biscuits, aimed at retired and part-time workers amongst our volunteers. We cleared some piles of grass left before the two heavy snow falls and now almost solid with frost, and cut up a number of fallen trees blocking paths. We were lovely and warm after the exercise (and the cake!). Another session planned for Wednesday.
