Goodbye Preston

A day of hard labour.
Rob and I went to Preston to help Gilly and Graham finish clearing their flat. Two trips to the dump saw the end of their bed, sofa desk and miscellaneous.
A break for lunch and a last visit to Haslam Park nearby, very large and old with a river and wildlife area. The pond was mostly frozen over.
Then on with car packing. All the boxed stuff fitted nicely into our roomy Berlingo, but the remaining items had to be squeezed into their not so large Skoda. A bit of rejigging and some more items to stay in Kendal for the present, and we left them to await two buyers for their washing machine and bookshelf, while we made our sedate way home with the precious cargo.
They depart for their new life in sunny Cornwall tomorrow! We will trundle down on Thursday to see what it's all about. Exciting times!
