Black... or white?

First lesson in the Emma Davies course - photograph a black and then a white paper to see that the camera makes them the same.  I was very surprised at how completely they looked the same.  A great lesson.

I've been shooting manual for a long time - but I rely on the light meter - which is doing the same thing as this exercise.  So now I know what the light meter is trying to tell me - maybe I can stray a little and trust my intuition.

Teen crisis is better after a good nights sleep - for both of us.
