backronym...

...a word I came across in an article about SPAM along with all the usual relating to Monty Python and....yes Monty Python's SPAM restaurant skit Spam Spam Spam Spam.

A backronym is 'an acronym deliberately formed from a phrase whose initial letters spell out a particular word or words, either to create a memorable name or as a fanciful explanation of a word's origin'.
SPAM of course has many 'fancifuls' (and nothing to do with the trademarked name suggested by Kenneth Daigneu brother of the then Hormel VP and the company who still produce all the SPAM sold in North and South America and Australia) including  Something Posing As Meat and Spare Parts Animal Meat.
But hey as all the Hermel SPAM is produced in Austin Minnesota...Special Product of Austin Minnesota makes sense!
