Llano Grande, a village of 150 people high in the Sierra Norte (over 10,000 ft. altitude) was the destination for the overnight hike excursion.
The days were gorgeous sunshine but the night was cold! Lots of blankets are provided, so we were all cozy, though everyone in our cabin wore their hats to bed!
The people in this village are very friendly, they serve delicious food, and that special Oaxacan hot chocolate (no Nestle's Quick here!) is perfect to start the day.
