WildWednesday93: Lunch

The weather has warmed up nicely so I spent the morning at Sweetwater Wetlands Park here in Gainesville. The sky remained overcast while Mother misted on me the entire time I was there. Very pleasant since it was neither ice cold rain nor salt spray on my camera/lens. I followed this little Pied-billed Grebe as it dove under the water plants looking for a mea. It finally was successful and caught a rather large fish, much larger than I would have imagined that it could swallow. The fish went down the Grebe's throat rather quickly and the second shot in today's *extras is of one very happy and satisfied little Grebe. :)
