Cock Pheasant

We have a pair of pheasants that tend to use our garden from time to time and yesterday morning I heard the familiar loud croak of the male bird at our back door. I went to the window and saw him looking rather resplendent on top of our back fence so I had to take a photograph. As it turned out the rest of the day was unusually grim and overcast so this flash of colour definitely earn the blip selection.
