Lost

It was cold and grey today but my lunchtime walk in the woods was a pleasure. The berries, mosses and lichen stood out so brightly amongst the bare trees; and the birds sang cheerfully sensing the longer days. This contrasted with the sad news of a friend who has just lost his wife to cancer.
