Floating

Have been a bit lax over the past few days, energy levels a bit low, but bouncing back again.
Spotted a floating feather this afternoon while we were swimming which inspired me to get my camera and have a we play this afternoon. It's been very overcast, perfect for some water shots. Love how feathers just float and the water runs off...no wonder birds don't get cold.

And have a wonderful story to go with my boat blip of a few days ago. The family that own it had their own bach at the lake for many years, but it was sold about 15 years ago. They have returned for a holiday staying at Hermione Cottage on the lake edge, and brought their 99 year old kauri clinker boat with them. It was a wreck when their father pulled it out of the lake 40 years ago, he restored it and it has been used and loved by the family over the years. Their father turns 90 next week and is returning to the lake for a birthday celebration. So when they saw this photo they were so delighted. I printed a small copy for them to put in a frame to give him on the day, but they want to get a large print done on metal as well. I am thrilled to bits.
