Long Nights

Since having my first baby, the definition of ‘a good nights sleep’ has changed drastically.

Pre-Eliot; turn TV off around 10pm and switch brain off until 7.15 when hubby leaves for work and I potter around ready to log in to the work computer at 8am with brew in hand

Post-Eliot; bath at around 7pm then hubby and I trying our best to settle baby E between 7.30 and 10pm with snippets of TV programmes watched between us, never switch brain off but rather get up and breastfeed roughly every 3 hours (especially during this terrible cough he’s developed which is unfortunately resulting in sicky nights and often changes in nightwear for both of us!)...get up and dressed at anytime between 7.15 and 11.15am depending on plans for the day and how desperate the dog is for a walk!!
