Up at the crack of nine to take Andrew to his football lessons. An hour of watching a lot of young people running around like headless chickens – rather like watching Scotland but without the songs and swearing. He wore his Ronaldo/Real Madrid strip but rather misteriously plumped for Man Utd socks to complete the look. Perhaps he's looking for a transfer.

He has a bit to go yet before any premiership scout beats a path to his door but you can't fault his effort or true grit, bravely shrugging off a skint knee and making it through the rest of the day without a plaster on it.
