Fire

We popped out for a coffee to escape the heat. Kind of worked as long as stayed inside the coffee shop! On the way home we noticed a foreboding looking cloud. At first we thought a storm but realised it must be a bushfire somewhere. Turns out the fire was in the Sawyers Valley about 35km / 22 miles from here.

Kept the windows closed to avoid any smoke / ash getting in the house. We could see bits of ash falling at one point.

I’ve seen reports of 150 firefighters on the scene so hopefully all will be as well as possible as soon as possible.
