Farmers Market

Every Saturday morning there is a Farmer's Market held on Castle Terrace in Edinburgh, it's not a huge market but it does have a fairly wide variety of mostly food stuffs, from "organic" vegetables, to fish, pork, beef, venison, cheese, baked goods and porridge.

Unfortunately it ends at 14:00 and I'm often not in town early enough to catch it, but I was this morning, there are also a number of stalls selling hot food, including soup, porridge, venison haggis and cheese melts, but my favourite is "Oink" who sell roast wild hog in a bun, which is lovely with haggis. (they also have a shop on Victoria St. opposite the Bow Bar if you miss them at the Farmers Market).
