Laser-cut Bike

Bike was presented to me by Byron from Maple City Bicycle Club in Indiana.

Cut from a 1 9/16" x 2 9/16" x 1/16" thick piece of aluminum by a computer-guided laser. Dust was (artistically) added from my office shelf by gravity.

It is an practice example of off-camera strobe lighting. Have been reviewing lighting techniques at Strobist.com.

Inscription "nyb" is because the machine was owned by New York Blower in LaPorte, Indiana. Why was a company in Indiana named New York Blower? Founders thought the name added a classy touch to their products.
