These waterwheels attempt to keep the water moving enough to keep the growing green gunk from completely overcoming the river. However, the growing green gunk still finds ways to come in as close to the water movement as possible without being swept away.

Being turned off for today, this one makes a great place for our feathered friend to stand on dinner watch this evening.
