Of the Breadalbane

Up to Waipu today, to the House of Memories, which keeps records, photographs, artifacts, and stories from the Scots men and women who came from Nova Scotia to New Zealand, arriving at Waipu Cove.

My ancestors, the Frasers, McLeans, McKenzies, McLennans, and various others, arrived in 1858 on the Breadalbane. I fancy the photographs on this wall look noticeably more like my family than do those on the the neighbouring walls.
