Absentee chickadee

The other day i had a wonderful shot of this birdhouse outside our living room window... with the perfectly posed chickadee on top (i went with another shot that day...) so, today, with the brilliant sun and blue ski all in order i tried for that 'other' perfect shot.... 20 minutes later, arms tired from holding my position (need to get a tripod!) not to mention the -17 degree with a fair bit of wind... i was reminded of the idea of being in the moment... giving over to 'what is' - or in this case .... what isn't!!!!
where is that thin line between obsession and just plain old 'creativity'??
