Changeable

Yesterday's weather warnings were pretty accurate. The snow altitude was a bit lower than the 800m, In fact, last night Angie on her way home from her fitness class was faced with a whiteout blizzard making driving the 6km very tricky. An hour later there was no snow to be seen on the ground.

However it came back overnight and all day it varied between light, heavy and drifting badly, to spells of sunshine. But apparently, there is more to come, above all very high winds of around 100kmh tomorrow.

Annoyingly Angie had to drive to Munich this morning and it was quite an unpleasant trip, especially this evening in the dark, with strong winds and snow squalls. But luckily home safe now.

Both morning and evening dog walks went well and we got our fair share of fresh air pressed into our lungs. As can be seen from the Blip, the evening walk in the Ottobeuren forest ended when it was pretty dark. However, the snow on the paths makes it quite easy to get about. The photo was taken from the forest walk car park.

Horses were fed up being confined to the sand school and concrete areas. Chickens were confined to their fence in the area which they just as much hate as the horses but they are laying well despite the vagaries of the weather. We usually get 20 eggs a day and the kindergarten mothers in Munich who get most of them are delighted to have supplies again after the Christmas holidays.

So come rain (also due tomorrow), snow, wind and sun, things are generally good. And that's not bad at this time of year.
