Thundersnow

I now know what thundersnow is. I heard it forecast on the radio this morning, and thought "what is that?".

At 4.30pm, a very heavy snowfall, and booming, which echoed all around. Quite scary. It sounded like an explosion, and then we realised it was thunder.

The shot, taken mid afternoon, before the heavier falls. Titwood Bowling Club. I do like the single set of footprints up the path.

This evening, a wee bit of local excitement. A gritter got stuck at the bottom of the hill. The crew tried for over half an hour to progress. They eventually managed to move onto a side road, and then got stuck at the next hill. Treacherous out there. I wonder why gritters aren't fitted with small snow ploughs.
