Walk in the woods

Enjoyed a walk in the woods today, some sunny spots.  Here's a tangle of trees glinting in the sunshine. Listened to some of John Lennon's songs as I walked... this is always rather bittersweet, as he was my Dad's favourite, and my Dad died in 1982.

It was also sad to hear Jenny Joseph, who wrote the wonderful "Warning" died today. It's a great poem.  I'll have to buy a red hat...and I already like to wear purple! If you can't be outrageous when you're old, when can you be!  It was voted the best post-war poem in 1996.
