Mid-day Blues

Just about every photo book or instructional website tells aspiring photographers not to shoot in the middle of the day. The sun is too strong, the shadows too harsh. There is no substitute, however, for the intense colors that the too strong sun creates. The shadows are harsh, but when the focal point is the contrast between the white clouds and blue sky, with an accent or two of green, mid-day turns out to be an ideal time to shoot.
