The Champ

At home after more than six weeks in hospital fighting a very nasty pneumonia.  There's still a way to go to full recovery but as there was a time that we weren't sure we'd ever see her sitting in this armchair again we are delighted to see her back where she belongs.

The day has been a constant strain of discharge admin, starting with me turning up at 9am (as instructed yesterday) to find her still sitting with her breakfast in a hospital gown. "Oh?  Discharge wasn't in the handover notes" said today's nurse as she came to pop Mum back into bed.  I was polite but firm.
