Too-da-loo

Our builder Martyn who did such a great job renovating our house when we first moved in, and other previous houses, came this afternoon to have a look at the upstairs toilet. We first noticed something was wrong when a damp patch appeared on the kitchen ceiling accompanied by an ominous crack in the paintwork. The loo had started leaking, not enough to warrant flooding alerts to be issued but enough to be a nuisance. This was over Christmas when we had guests and could really have done with both toilets instead of just the one downstairs. Andy had had a look but although managed to stop the flow didn't have the right tools to fix the leak. So we managed until Martyn could make it and he replaced the innards and fixed the leak. A great relief to one and all, especially in the middle of the night when I take my life in my hands negotiating the stairs.

Whilst he was here he also fixed a drain cover and mended a hinge on one of the kitchen cabinets. We wouldn't know what we'd do if he ever retired.
