Foxy

An unusual start to today. At 6.45 am I scraped the car’s icy windscreen and drove my daughter to the station. On the way back, I spotted this young fox on the pavement just as I turned back into our road. He was semi-comatose and very cold, but otherwise looked well-nourished with a healthy coat. An early dog-walking neighbour turned up and we wrapped foxy in old towels and rang first a fox rescue service (went to voicemail), then a local vet and finally the RSPCA. After a chilly hour, a cheery inspector arrived to take the fox - now warming up and a bit more alert . Hope they were able to help him, poor thing.
