Friday

It seemed very cold today even if there was quite a lot of sunshine. We went off to Scotsdales the local garden centre and treated ourselves to lunch in the Sunflower Cafe which is the largest restaurant in Cambridge. This is a good thing because it seemed that most of Cambridge had decided to join us!  Still, we had a very nice lunch and afterwards did the weekly shop at Waitrose just up the road...

Coming home we saw this CASEIH Steiger 600 Quadtrac pulling a 12 furrow plough in a field near Pampisford and it would have been downright rude not to stop and get a photo... amongst the monster tractors being used around here this is the biggest yet! The engine a Iveco 12.9L 6-cyl two-stage turbocharged intercooled and aftercooled diesel developing 600hp and I guess that plough needed every one of them!
