Short, Fat, Nuthatch

These normally look rather long and slim when I see them clinging upside down on tree trunks. I think he was bracing himself for the next storm. Lots of lichen on this ancient oak overhanging our garden, we keep wondering when the tree will detach itself from the bank it sits in.
