Wow - what a day!

The weather forecast was very unpromising with the weather not due to break until late afternoon. After a lengthy discussion Mr B and I opted for a walk starting in Coniston, going down the lakeside to Torver and then climbing up to the Walna Scar Road before returning to the village. It rained all the way to Coniston and then promptly stopped and stayed dry for the day. The cloud was low for much of the day and the visibility very murky. On reaching the Walna Scar road we stopped for lunch. In the space of 15 minutes it went from almost no visibility to amazing sunshine. We continued up hill to enjoy the amazing vista of Dow Crag and the Old Man deep in snow - panorama in extras. On the way home I caught a glimpse of the light and reflections on the lake. I swerved into the car park at Brown Howe and dashed to the shoreline to grab some shots - totally beautiful.
