Messing About

We've had a quiet day, as even when he got up this morning CyclopsJnr was still tired.

He was super at rugby - he was the only one who didn't need parental supervision or help (except the last game which we played together as a parent was required).  He was great at running zigzags through cones - very fluid and confident.

We went home afterwards and did stickers and playdoh for nearly two hours.  He clearly needed low key, and actually asked for his nap at the end of lunch.

After his nap we built a space rocket from his construction kit, then went to the shops.  He chose his own dinner (poppadoms to start followed my macaroni cheese) confidently navigating the the shop to find each ingredient.  Then he asked to go to bed!

This picture is typical of today's playing and fooling around.

We had a funny moment in the car when an ambulance passed (at speed on the wrong side of the road, necessitating some mild swerving):

CyclopsJnr: "Daddy, what's that?"

Me: "It's an ambulance, it's probably taking someone sick to hospital so they can see a doctor to make them better"

CyclopsJnr (mournfully, clearly feeling cheated) "Daddy, when I was sick you wiped my face and gave me a bowl to use. I didn't get an ambulance."

Sorry son.
