Here for the banter!

A busy day!
Up before dawn to take Dad to an early morning hospital appointment, so half the day gone with that.

Mrs L and I went in to town this evening. This photo was taken in a restaurant, looking out of the window. It not completely successfully shows the reflections in the window of the lampshades seeming to show the shades as hovering in the street outside.

The more interesting (and entertaining) thing in the restaurant couldn’t be captured on camera.
Not long after we were seated, 3 ladies were seated at the next table. They had been to a show earlier, and seemingly for a refreshment or two afterwards! They weren’t the quietest, so we couldn’t help but overhear them talking about a guy they knew who was “oan the run frae the polis”. When one of them had a little coughing fit, another one said “I hope you’re not choking, or we’ll need someone to do the Heineken manoeuvre”.

We felt like we were in that Chewin’ The Fat sketch where the two guys only come into Glasgow ‘for the banter’!
