Recycled Christmas Trees

A beautiful location to hold a wake and just offshore, on the edge of the reef, I spotted the Christmas trees.  I'd read about them in the paper, how persons unknown would anchor the trees on edge of the reef to rusty metal pilings, detritus of WWII, every year replacing them.  It had become a tradition, going on now since the 1960s.   I was delighted to find them.   This is the best shot I got with G's cellphone.   The glare was extreme.

Godspeed, Brian.
