“Fat chaffinch”

You may think this youngster is fluffed up because he’s cold. He’s a regular visitor and spends a lot of time feeding and sitting. There is a distinct possibility that he’s just chubby.

Sleet was followed by snow this morning. It was glorious in the outdoor pool as the snowflakes landed amid the steam. By lunchtime we had lots of snow, but it’s melting fast now. Strange winter....
