Forsythia

A lovely bright but very cold day .
I jogged round the Hazlehead 5k Parkrun enjoying some exercise after a long drive yesterday . In the afternoon we went to the Vue and saw Darkest Hour which was excellent - especially the central perormance from Gary Oldman . Notably more folk going to the Vue these days since they have slashed their ticket prices to £5 a viewing .
Some colour in the garden today - our Forsythia is beginning to bloom .

Forsythia  is a genus of flowering plants in the family Oleaceae (olive family). There are about 11 species, mostly native to eastern Asia, but one native to southeastern Europe.[1] Forsythia is also one of the plant's common names, along with Easter tree; the genus is named after William Forsyth.
