Birthday cake....

...with a difference! For super health conscious birthday people.....

My dear friend Kathy wanted to come to church this morning despite the sleet and wet. So I collected her.  She wasn't concerned that she was wearing odd shoes....one slipper, one sandal....and odd socks..
"No-one will notice," she said. "And it's not about me anyway" I do love her!


We met with friends, including the Birthday Girl (it's next Sunday really) for lunch at a venue in Crystal Palace and had an enormous roast dinner with HUGE Yorkshire puddings! Delicious though very filling!

Then back for coffee or another drink, whichever, and a slice of the above cake. Lemon torte really and quite nice!

We're now home and sitting by the log fire about to watch Call The Midwife....Sunday evenings are back!
