Labels

Crocus danfordiae, a few days on and a second flower has joined the one I blipped a week ago.  The label tells me I obtained it as seed through the Crocus Group seeed exchange in 2009 and that the seed was donated by Latvian crocus guru Janis Ruksans, the man who knows more about crocus than anyone who has ever lived.

With all of us variously under the weather, I was the only one on the go this morning.  I used the time to write labels for seeds soon to be planted.  This time they come from the Scottish Rock Garden Club seed exchange, as a gift from a friend and from our own garden.  A little warm feeling on a cold wintry day to imagine flowers in warmer days to come.
