Garden Friends

A bit of a cheat, I'm afraid, as this was taken a couple of days ago when the sun was shining:-)  Same view this morning as we prepared to leave the Airbnb, but it didn't look nearly so good in the pouring rain!

Said our goodbyes to MiL after lunch and headed for the airport to return the hire car and catch the flight home.  Dreadful driving conditions with heavy rain and lots of spray from lorries etc, so a tense drive in case the car got damaged in any way.  Arrived safely and in good time for the flight, but sadly it was delayed because of bad weather in Edinburgh!  

We were reasonably lucky in that it did manage to take off over an hour later, because the Glasgow flight had been cancelled completely and many passengers had been re-booked on our flight with a coach journey to Glasgow ahead of them when they landed. 

Lots of snow in Edinburgh which got even thicker en route to Perthshire and combined with heavy rain and patchy fog, it was not a pleasant welcome home!  However, we made it and can now relax for a bit before an early night.  Will try to catch up with you all soon, but may just have to sprinkle stars and hearts or I'll be here all day:-)
