Gone AWOOL

Every now and again one sheep breaks away from the flock and seems to lose the herd instinct, becoming a loner and resisting arrest.

The past two weeks this ewe has been in possession of our farmyard every morning when I go to let out the chickens. She looks up from her munching shiftily then melts away into the distance down the lane.

I suppose you could call her a 'scapesheep' - or an escape artist. I expect she's out there now.
