Deep in Thought

No idea what this female Cardinal was thinking but she was sitting on a tree stump in the pouring rain...not budging at all.  Perhaps she was supposed to have a rendez-vous with her sweetie and he stood her up in the rain?  I did see a male further down the trail so perhaps he got his messages mixed up....just me thinking out loud (or typing?).

I had great hopes of seeing the Rusty Blackbird but no go....lots of rain (no freezing rain), lots of Mourning Doves, lots of deer lying down in the meadow, and this sweet little girl who just sat there.  Thirty-eight photos in total....
