Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

The Edge of the Lake

This is about #59 piling that has slowly been pounded into the edge of Lake Union over the past very many weeks.   Paid for by the floating homes across the street and the high end condos just up from them.     Interesting to watch how the old wooden pilings were cut off and pulled out and then one by one these metal plates have been pounded in..as you can see some will go deeper than others.   Didn’t notice the noise at the beginning so much from the other end but now that they are working directly across the street (extra is from my 2nd floor window showing the crane earlier…isn't my viburnum in bloom great this time of year?...the blip is taken from where the fir tree is) it is so noisy in the front of our place that the cup rattles in the saucer on the table by my favorite reading chair in the window,.  Not sure how many more there are….there is still a pile, maybe 10?  .but it needed to be recorded in a blip.

Not a great day,.  Hardly any cleaning OR creating done today.  2 walks OK.   Lost my credit card from my pocket while I was out taking these photos (I think). What a bother.   Will just go quietly watch Nik’s Basketball game tonight and try to behave.
Edit:  added another extra of the private Lakeside HS gym where the game was played.   Named the Paul Allen Athletic building (Microsoft founder)
, this is a bit fancier and has the shiniest floor than any of the public schools we are used to! ! Fun to watch ( even if they lost)....
