Sledging Bouquetin

..... casts a long shadow. My first bouquetin of the year. It had finally stopped snowing at his altitude after a week! He clearly had to dig himself out with his big horns but he then sort of "sledged" back towards the cliffs again, as this is a dangerous avalanche slope.

Another bit of excitement when I got home, a very distant shot of a group of birds proved to be rock partridges which I had never seen before!

I could have blipped the extra, looking up the Rhone Valley towards Mont Blanc in the distance, I was so happy to be in the mountains and sunshine again.
